I have a Maytag washer, MAV6000AWW. I do not get any cold or warm water in the regular wash / fill cycle, only hot. However, in the rinse cycle I have do get cold water. I thought about replacing the water inlet valve but wondered if I would be getting cold water in the rinse cycle if the inlet valve was faulty. Could this be in the timer or somewhere else? Jim W.
ANSWER Jim, The issue is in neither the timer 22002716 or the fill valve 22002708, it's most likely due to a failed circuit in the temperature control board 22003906. There's a slight possibility the thermistor in the fill valve has failed, but you should start at the control board first.
