Hello, The ice maker is not getting any water (water dispenser works). The electricity was out so I am wondering if the fill tube is frozen, or what other problem it might be. I cannot find any information as to how to get the tube out, or if I have to, how to get the ice maker out. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
ANSWER Hello Alice,
If the fill tube is frozen, you can thaw it out with a hair dryer and never remove it. As a matter of fact, many models produced today have fill tubes that will not come out. If the fill tube is frozen and the water pressure to the unit is sufficient, the water inlet valve will require replacement. If not, the ice maker is at fault.
