I have a Kenmore 80 series washer that seems to work, but does not spin fast when it has a full load. If this had been a belt drive, I would have suspected the belt was worn or loose and replaced it. What would cause a direct drive machine to spin slow under heavy load, but spin fine when the load is small?
ANSWER Hello Jim. Check the drive block first. If it is good, then you move to the clutch. If both the drive block and clutch are good, the last ting is the drive tube in the unit.
