Hi, I replaced the motor coupling on my Roper washing machine about six weeks ago and it stopped spinning yesterday, is there anything I should look for that may cause this problem other than a faulty part?

ANSWER Hello William! It could be the lid switch, when closing the lid you should hear a clicking sound, that is the lid switch. If you do not hear a clicking sound, you will more than likely need a new lid switch. Also make sure the lid switch wiring harness is connected, you have to unplug it off when you remove the cabinet to change the coupler. It may have come loose. Hope this helps!
