i have a kenmore top load everything seems to work fine but there is a noise the whole time down by the motor. i have checked the pump and it seems to be fine any ideas would be helpful.thanks

ANSWER Shawn, The coupler 285753A would be the next check to make. Make sure the three tabs on each coupler are not bent, broken or cracked. Check and make sure the rubber insert is not distorted, cracked, torn, etc. Another check for the pump, would be to dismount the pump, from the motor, allow the washer to fill and agitate for several minutes, then reinstall the pump and allow the washer to complete the wash, drain and spin. No noise with the pump disconnected would indicate an issue in the pump bearings, and the drain pump will need to be repalced.
