My pump has a rust or burnt looking color in the inside. Has my pump gone bad? I noticed leaking on the floor underneath the washer.

The pump has probably had a string wrap around the impeller assembly inside it and the spinning of the pump heated it up and actually melted it. Replace the drain pump and this will correct the draining and the leak. You should throw away old towels that many people save to wash their car or boat with. The strings pull off the edges and provide means of the same thing happening again.
