I just purchased a washer pump WPL 3363394 to replace a leaking one. To remove the old one I did need to pry it off as it was stuck. I cleaned the motor shaft with sandpaper but the new one is not sliding on very easily. I have the flat areas of shaft lined up with flats of the pump but its still not going on.
Any other suggestions?
Thank you, Evan
ANSWER Hello Evan. If the shaft was rusted bad, you wil need to keep sanding the shaft until the pump slides onto the shaft. It has to be free from rust.
