I am having a problem with the Kenmore washer model # (110) 92273100. My washer fills and agitates but does not drain, spin or empty. I wanted to ask how do I check the lid switch on this model? I looked and pressed something in the hole where one normally would be but there was nothing in the hole or the usual click you would hear (I had this problem with another previous washer) when you press down.
Also, I started looking for other causes since I could not find it (the lid switch) and was wondering if it is possible that the drain pump could be the problem? I see there is a compatible pump available for sale on this site. I am not sure if I will also need a new hose? Are there any other items that may also be needed are but are sold separately from the pump? Thanks, I really appreciate your time and consideration!
You would want to check the lid switch by doing a continuity test. You would access the lid switch wires and check across them with the lid in the closed position. If the lid switch shows continuity then it is ok and if not then you would need to replace the switch.
