ANSWER Hi. Use a volt/ohm meter part # TJMA-DM1 to assist you in your diagnostics. Verify that you have 240 vac to the terminal block and there is 120 vac from each outer terminal post to the middle terminal post. Pull at least one lead off the element part # 279838 and make sure you have ohms to both element and one leg is not shorted to the element case. If so then replace the element. Remove and inspect the element to see if it has weakened and expanded and is shorting or broken open coils. Measure the normally closed high limit thermostat to see if it has opened because of the element or the vent is clogged. The Dryer Thermal Cut-Off kit part # 279816. Comes w/instructions and all should be upgraded from the original ones on the side of the element case and blower vent housing. Thank You
