My dryer wasn't getting hot and I changed the heating element Dryer still doesn't get hot. What could be the problem?

Deon for Model Number Ler5636jqo

ANSWER Deon, First make sure you have 240 VAC at the terminal block on the back of the dryer. Reset the breaker in the panel a few times, then re check. The you'll need to check or replace the thermal fuse and hi limit thermostat 279816. The thermal cut off will eliminate power to the element, if it has an "open" circuit, it is also a "one shot" fuse, once it opens, it has to be replaced.
