I have a broken wire cutter, but would that make the water surge? I would have to turn in on and off to get it to make ice. I didn't notice that the wire was broke?

ANSWER Hello Mary,
The water will only surge if the pump is running out of water to circulate. This can only be caused by the water valve 2315509, the tank 8201617 leaking, (the cap 2185696 could be loose or cracked), or the pump 2217220 itself. Most of the time the seals in the pump will be at fault. Once in a while you will find a hose off or not connected good. The cutting grid 2313637 is available also.
