I've got water running down the inside back wall of the fridge and also have ice cubes in the ice maker that are frozen together. I disconnected the power and took the back panel off the freezer compartment and discovered that the drain hole was frozen over. After thawing out I made sure the drain tube was clear by pouring warm water through it and it was. I plugged fridge back in and ice cubes are still melting together. I suspect in this model(RT14DKXGN01)that I need part# AP3135853 to correct the problem. Assuming I need to check for continuity on the bi-metal first, do I need to cut the wires to check this? and if that is the problem,is there a bi-metal only that will work or do I have to replace the whole harness?
Tom for Model Number RT14DKXGN01
ANSWER Hello Tom. If the Bi-metal is bad, you will need to replace the harness 2192096. Hope this helps.
