I have 2 mixers and I replaced the 2 gears that set upon 1 another, and also replaced the gear that drives this. When I put the cover back on , and try it real slow it works fine, but when I bump it up a few notches it sounds like teeth are slipping. My question is their possible wear on the bushings on the end of this gear. I know these gears should be snug. it is very easy to work on.

Mike for Model Number kp26

ANSWER Mike, You will want to make sure that the dowel pin is in place properly but the bushing may be worn and causing the issue.
