Most Interesting

Upper oven bake setting is heating too slowly and not making it up to the set temperature. The bake element is turning on and off during the preheat and never quite getting up to temperature, sometimes just staying off all together. Broil function works properly on upper oven and in lower oven all functions work properly. Removed upper oven bake element and tested it - resistance is 19 Ohms. Is it possible coil is on its way to failing and that's causing the problem or is it some other component causing the problem? Was hoping it was the coil because that's an easy fix... Any insight would be very helpful! Thanks.

The oven is taking far too long to come to bake temperature (35 minutes to get to 375°F). I ran self-cleaning and it appeared to do its job. Could this still just be a faulty bake element or is it more likely the control panel?

Successfully removed the element, just tugged. How do I install the new element: it's very difficult to see inside those holes and I can't see the wires or connectors that attach to the element spades. Thanks.

Latest Questions

How are the wires connected to the element? I do not see any clips. Do they just pull out or do they require a special tool? I have it unbolted and have access to the wires.

The heating element we took out says it is 2600 watt and 240 volt. Is this the heating element that will work for a Thermador oven/convection oven and self cleaning.
