If the capacitor is bad, what part/parts would not function?
Answer Tony, If the capacitor has failed, the circulation motor won't run. A failed capacitor usually is easy to recognize, they usually "blow up" . if need be you'd want to circuit test the capacitor, you use a multimeter and place the test probes across the two terminals, if the capacitor is "good" there will be an increase in resistance and the the resistance should start to decline back down.
Should the capacitor have continuity?
Answer Hello Theresa. No, the capactior 00167235 should show a spike on the meter and then drop back to zero. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
