Answer Hello Kerry, Yes this circulation pump repair kit will work to repair your pump. You may also want to check to see if leak is else where before trying to install the repair kit. Pull the water valve off still leaving connected and using a flashlight with unit filliing with water check to see if there is splashing or dripping. If you see splashing or dripping coming from tub on the side where the water hose goes up then you would need a new water valve.

Answer Hello Mike, This sounds like you either have a piece of debris in the pump or the motor windings 239144 have shorted. I kind of doubt the latter, but the first is very possible as I have removed many toothpicks and bones form the pump impeller.

Answer Bob, It could be an issue in the impeller assembly 167085, in the circulation pump 239144. It is pretty involved, but you're halfway through the repair if the dishwasher is un installed. We'll send you some basic information, and you'll be able to do the repair yourself.

Answer Hi Randy. You release the latch tab on the pump hsg. as you twist and pull out the circulation pump. Use a shop vac to pick up the water and also clean the top of the inside of the pump/sump assy. While you have the motor off you can check the motor windings to see if they are all the same tolerance in ohms. It reads 10 ohms on the Wht/Rd wire and the white wire. It is rare that a capacitor is bad. Usually a groaning sound is from debris dragging against the impeller, broken pieces or a dragging armature in the motor. Make sure the motor spins freely when you have it apart. Thank You.

Answer Hello Alexander, You need to remove the bottom rack and the filter assemblies. Down inside the top of the pump assembly is a plastic cover held in place by a single torx head screw. I don't remember the size exactly from memory, but i believe it's a T-10 or T-15. Remove this cover with a pair of needle nosed pliers. It will pull straight out once the screw is removed. Now use a wet-vac to clean it out. If you listen closely when doing this, if a foreign item is in there, you can hear it go in the wet-vac.Once all of the water and debris is removed, use a flashlight and inspect the impeller. It should sit up square on the motor shaft. I always spin it with my finger. If you feel the magnetic field from the motor windings, the impeller is fine. If it spins freely and flops around you will have to replace the circulation pump motor.

Answer Jim, Low water levels do affect the overall operation of the wash arms, so you need to check to see if there is and issue in the water valve 425458 and plumbing water supply, and the water level switch 263185. As for the leak, if the dishwasher sat for an extended period of time, the pump gasket 263102 and other seals could have dried out and started to leak, or you may want to re check your previous work, Something may have gotten out of alignment or twisted ?
