My dishwasher starts again after the wash cycle is done. Is This a control panel issue?
Answer Hello Vincent. Yes, based on the information you provided, it sounds like the control module 264461 is bad on the unit and will need to be replaced.
Does the control module change the speed of the motor during the cleaning cycle? I notice that another person indicated that the unit returned to "it's old slow ways again". I have replaced the module previously but now have the reduced cleaning power that the other person has experienced. Relay failure, track on printed circuit board? Thanks!
Answer Hi Gavin. It would do you some good service to get the shop vac, pick tools and towels to completely clean the entire unit. It will loose its clean ability when it is clogged. Remove the racks and wash arms. Use the pick tool to clean all upper and lower wash arm jets that are clogged. Flush out under the sink. Make sure the water temperature is at least 120° incoming. Make sure to use quality detergent and rinse aid. Remove the top of the wash motor assy. and clear the internal filter. Clean all the way down to the chopper blade. Try this first before coming to conclusions about the next step. Use the supplied tech sheet in the kick plate to put the unit in a self diagnostic mode to see if there are any codes. Thank You.
