How hard is it to replace control module ?

Answer Hi John. Remove the power. remove the 3- rear top screws and push back and up on the top to remove it. Remove the dispenser assy. Remove the front dispenser screws. Open the door, look up at the 12:00 position and see if your model has a hidden screw holding the bottom of the front panel on. The familiarize yourself w/ the tabs/ and screws holding the front panel on. Release all electrical connectors that unplug the board. Then lay the front of the fascia on a towel and slowly lift the board from the back area. This will lessen the chance of button springs and light tubes falling out. Take note of connections and the button positioning. The control assy. part # 494093. Do not touch the board, remember to ground yourself out on bare metal so the static grounds itself out a few times so you do not induce static into the new board and ruining it. Thank You.
