At the end of the dishwasher cycle, the dishwasher is not drained, ie the water is still standing in the bottom. Filters etc have been cleaned and pump is working fine. Could this be a fault in the control unit (module) and is this easy for a handyman to replace himself.
Answer Hi John. Get a bucket. Allow the dishwasher to start and put a little bit of water in it. Disconnect the drain hose at the sink. Look inside the hose and clear out resrtrictions if needed. Then use a screwdriver to insert into the sink drain hose connection. Is it plugged there ? Put the drain hose into the bucket. Then press the cancel/drain cycle. It allows the final 2-minute pump out. If not then take the hose off the pump end. Make sure the hose is clear. Look at the pump drain flapper part # . Is it loose hanging on by a thread of rubber ? Check to see if the pump inpeller is not spinning loose on the motor shaft. If so then replace the pump. Drain Pump Motor Assembly - This dishwasher drain pump and motor assembly has been replaced.
