Where and how one clip the cup holder on? How does it "hold" the cups - from the top or from the side ?

Answer Hi Annie. It is used on the top rack normally on the rt. side. Place it clipped on the middle of the rt. rails so it will either fold up out of the way or mostly flat w/a little slant to hold the cups and the rack will retract. Part # 268256.
