My dryer powers on, but will not run. No error codes, belts are fine. Any idea?
Answer Hello Cynthia,
You will want to check your door switch 00189410 to make sure that when the door is closed that you have continuity. If not then the door switch is bad and needs to be replaced. If the door switch checks good then you will want to make sure that you check the thermal fuses to ensure that they are good. A bad thermal fuse can cause dryer not to run. No continuity on the thermal fuse means that the fuse is bad. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
I press the start button but the dryer won't start light comes on but does not start the drying cycle.
Answer Hello Brandon. Check and make sure the heater and fuses are good. They should read closed for continuity. Also the door switch should read closed with the door closed. If so, and it does not start, you will need to replace the control module 00481590. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
