I installed a 487783 replacement ice maker. It worked well for two days and stopped. Another ice maker is being sent to me. Do I need to do more than change the ice maker?
My refrigerator is built in. I am having a terrible time removing it from the cabinet. I wanted to check the water lines and filter - if there is one in the back but am unable to do so.
Any way to check if water is flowing from inside the freezer where I am mounting the ice maker? How do I check??
I removed the round water filter, but I could not see any water on the tip of the water filter. Thanks for your input. Mike

Answer Hello Mike,
If the ice maker has ice in it that it didn't harvest, the ice maker has either failed, or the temperature in the freezer compartment isn't dropping below 20°F to satisfy the ice maker thermostat. If there is no ice in the ice maker, the water inlet valve should probably be changed also. I'm sorry that I cannot provide a part number, but the part number will be model specific. Without the model number, it isn't possible to provide the correct part number. You can re-post with the model number or you can call in {1-877-477-7278} and give the model number to one of our representatives and they will gladly look up the correct part number for you.
