How does the water in the plastic pan get pumped out, if at all?
In my case, the water just sits there, and the pump is running.
The water comes from the overfill hole of the water inlet chamber.
Answer Peter, Apparently you have a couple of issues, The first, if the drain pump runs, but the water doesn't evacuate, then you need to check the drain hose and plumbing for kinks and clogs. If the hoses and drain check OK, you'll need to dismantle the drain pump and check the drain impeller for damage, or stripped impeller on the shaft. The water leak at the water inlet system, could be due to the drain issue, but you want to check for debris or deposits in the system. Good Luck and Thanks
Is this pump also supposed to evacuate water that accumulates in the plastic pan below the dishwasher stainless steel enclosure?
Answer Hello Peter. No, the pump 167082 turns on when the float is lifted. It does this thinking the valve is leaking into the tub and to prevent a flood in the house. If there is water in the base of the unit, you will need to locate the leak and replace the part that is leaking on the unit.
