Need to replace the spring on my lower oven door. How do I do this?

Answer Hello JK. First you will need to remove the oven door. To do this, Open the oven door and inspect the hinge assembly. By the opening on the door, you will see a latch on the hinge. Push it down until it contacts the hinge bracket at the opening on the oven frame and goes through the bracket hole below the notch. Grasp the door with both hands and raise it slightly. The latch will automatically enter the notch. Slide the door off the hinge arms by pulling outward at a slight upward angle. Now the hinges are locked open by the latches. To close the hinges, hold hinge arm down and lift the latch, then carefully raise the hinge arm. The hinges will be forcefully snap closed with out the weight of the door. To reopen the hinges, you will need to forcefully open the hinge and lock the latch into place. Next pull the oven half way out of the cabinet. Attach a wire to the door spring and pull the spring and release the cable from the spring. Make sure you note which of the three hooks on the cable the spring is attached to and use the same hook when reinstalling the spring 411347. Hope this helps.
