My d/w will not drain. We've experienced troubles in the past and are truly disappointed with this dishwasher. When it will not drain during cycle it floods my kitchen. With this being said, I realize that I need a door seal and in the past we have had a repair man from sears, look at it as well and he too hasn't a clue to what is the major malfunction. The drain lines aren't plugged is all we can say. When turning the actuator, or the impeller, the first turn was extremely tight. Help?
The first thing to determine is whether or not the drain pump is getting power to it. If there is power to it but not draining then the issue will be with the drain pump. If there is no power then check the wiring between the drain pump and the control module for breaks. Based on the issue it sounds like the drain pump would be the issue but the unit should also not fill with water if the drain is not pumping the water out so you will also want to look at a possible float switch being bad or a bad control board.
