I have Thermador double convection wall ovens, CT227NS-4, manufactured in 1995. I absolutely love my ovens. In Sep 2013, they went into an E5 error code. I've dealt with the E13 code before and tried to handle it the same way to no avail. Called the repairman. He couldn't fix it either. The company suggested I send the control panel to be refurbished. After doing so, that company called and said that I had two choices (because they couldn't get the parts to fix it): trash the control panel or have it sent back to me. I had it sent back to me only to find out that they had broken the control panel shroud trying to get the control panel out to refurbish it. I am in search of the control panel shroud or any suggestions how to find one. The ovens work wonderfully provided they are not in an error code. I'd rather pay $500 to have the control panel refurbished than $5000 for new units. Thank you in advance for any help you can offer!

HI, I just ran the self cleaning and the following day the error E5 continues to randomely flash. So I reset the breaker a few times, then ran the both ovens in bake for a while, and it stopped. So I went and set the clock and then the error starts E5 started up again, are there any electrical board parts for this unit that could be causing this? or would you have any idea of what the cause would be? thanks

Recently the oven has not been heating consistently. We pressed the reset button on the top of the double oven by removing it from the cabinet housing, however, the temperature has not been consistent. Sometimes it heats up and sometimes it won't come on at all, unless we leave it on for about 20 minutes, then it tends to stop heating for a period of time, when we turn the oven up and then back down to a temp, it does go to the original temp. Is this a thermal control issue? or do you suspect it could be another part. No error codes have ever come up on the oven.

Latest Questions

I have a Thermador model ct227nw dated about 1994. I can no longer use the lower oven at all, when I turn on I get a E6 error. The upper oven I can only use "bake". No longer able to use Convection broil, etc. I get E6 error when I try to use those options. Do I need a new control panel or another part. Oven use to make clicking noises when off, but that was several years ago about the same time I was unable to use the broil and other options. This has been going on for several years, read parts not available. Love oven, but do not want to pay for a brand new oven with all these options. Pls help.

Our oven does not regulate the temperature consistently, and has had E2 error code on occasion (runaway temperature). A repairman said the part P/N 488830 BOARD CONTROL was needed to fix the problem. He was unable to find a replacement part. I see from your website that that number was replaced by P/N 368732. Before I order it, I have two questions: 1) does it make sense that that part could cause the problem? 2) Is this a direct replacement part? He is suggesting replacing the whole oven for $4000, so I hope this works.
