The Bosch shu3002uc/uo6 dishwasher timer sticks at 5 and 9 oclock and needs manual advancement. Is this an DYI easy fix or do I need a pro or a new DW ? Please repond soon so as to please the wife.

Answer Hello RBA. These are not to hard to replace. You will need to remove the screws holding the inner door panel in place. When you remove theses screws on some models the outer door panel will come off as well. Then remove the screws holding the control panel in place. Remove the knob from the timer and unplug the wires going to the old timer. Remove the old timer and reinstall in reverse order. Hope this helps.

I have repaired a short in the timer by taking it apart. I put it back together but the timing wheel is not set correctly. What is the correct procedure to correct set the timing wheel?

Timer dial seems to be dragging/hanging around the RINSE position. Wife said she moved the dial slightly forward (like it was stuck there) and it finished an apparently completed cycle. Not sure how long it was stalled (?) before it attracted her attention but it took about two hours to cycle start-to-finish. Timer or something else? Thanks

I am having the same sticking at 5 and 9 o'clock issue. I took the timer out. Is there a way to test it to confirm it is bad?

Answer Hello ABosch. You will need to test the thermostat 168575 and the heater 264463. If either one of these are bad you will have problems with the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Again. After ordering and replacing the contol unit, the Bosch shu3002uc DW sitll has the same sticky timer at 5 and 9 oclock problem. Anything else to do before the repair guy get here?

Answer Hello RBA. You will need to check and see if the thermostat 168575 and heater 264463 is good on the unit. The thermostat should ohm at .3 ohms and the heater should ohm at 11 ohms. Hope this helps.
