I recently replaced the impeller assembly on the circulation pump and everything appeared to be working much better with regards to the spray arms. However, even though a lot of water is coming from the upper spray arm, it's not moving. Any ideas on what could be the issue and how to troubleshoot? Thanks.
Answer Hello Jim,
I would check for any point of water pressure loss. This is pertaining to the internal water circulation system. The first thing I would look at closely are the spray arms. If they are separating at the seams, this will allow the water pressure to blow out there and not have enough pressure left to power the upper spray arm. This is the most common cause of pressure loss. Another point to check is the grommet (or gasket) at the back of the upper rack where the center spray arm taps off pressure. This gasket is common to deteriorate without being noticed because of it's mostly hidden location.
If these check out good, it is possible that the impeller is slipping on the motor shaft or an item that had been in there could have worn down the impellers. I have actually seen where a piece of sharp glass wore the impeller blade impellers completely off. Let us know if we can further assist you!
I found the sprayer arm that goes below the top rack laying there when opened dishwasher. I cant seem to see anything broken on ether part to my nowledge. So after talking to one of your sales reps we decided to try and order the tube coming up from the bottom but it look just like the part I have but I cant figure out how to attach the arm to it or the existing one.How does it snap together. I there a picture or explanation that would help me? I can build a house or engine and run a company but for the life of me I cant get this one. If someone could call me my cell is 608-393-0544 many thanks Dan
Answer Dan, This should help, unless something is broken " Attached to the Upper Rack is the Upper Spray Arm Assembly. The Upper Spray Arm can be removed from the Upper Spray Arm Assembly for cleaning or replacement by turning the Arm Nut counter-clockwise. And then bringing the Arm down and off the Arm Assembly" and here's the water tube information, in case "The Feeder Tube Assembly allows water to flow to the Lower, then Upper Spray Arms and then to the Top Sprayer Head. It is replaced as a complete assembly by first removing the
two T-20 Torx screws, at its base. Then bring the tube up and off the Sump Housing, and remove it from the retaining clip located on the rear wall." Thanks and Good Luck
