The dishwasher is running a very long time no matter which cycle is chosen and the dishes have a white film or scum on them when the cycle finally finishes? Any idea what is the problem? water temp/ heater?

Replaced control board which eliminated code "6" (4+2). Unit now shows code 4, seems to want to drain constantly, will not fill with any water. I suspect the water fill solenoid and/or the water inlet valve. Heater works. Any suggestions, recommendations?

After draining at the end of the wash cycle, Bosch dishwasher model SHX46A05UC slowly refills (overnight, for example). If the unit remains powered, the drain pump will turn on from time to time to keep the unit from overflowing. Otherwise, water will drain through the door. I am assuming I need to replace the water inlet valve. If so, what is the correct part number?

Latest Questions

I recently bought a Bosch Dishwasher model #SHX7PT55UC. The part attached to the dishwasher that the black with red stripes inlet water line attaches to is missing. Does this part have a spade connection for two small blue wires to attach? And what is the part number? Where do I get it? And what does it cost? Thank you!

original problem with dishwasher; drain pump running continuously. found it was due to water in base lifting float. replaced drain pump since it burned up from running so long. replaced float switch and chamber (blue part). ran OK for a few days but problem returned. removed and ran on a table to find where water was coming from. When the water is initially filling at the beginning of cycle, I saw the water level rise inside the water inlet (clear plastic part on back of left side) until it went all the way to the top and start coming out of the round vent hole. Water seemed to be coming in through the valve faster than it could drain down into the chamber (blue part). This did not happen every time. sometimes the water would com in at a slower rate and work fine. Could this be a bad valve? Does it control the actual flow rate or just open and close?
