How do you replace a water inlet valve on a Bosch SHE53TL5UC/02 dishwasher. Makes a low sounding pressure noise when filling, once or twice during cycle when filling. Does not do it all the time. thx Glen

I have machine gun like hammering when my dishwasher runs, that's the only time this happens. Have lowered the water pressure to the house and this has not helped. A repairman who did other work at my home hypothesized that it was the fill valve. Is this a likely explanation? Is this worth repairing for an 18 year old dishwasher??

I was given this dishwasher as being in working order. We installed it at my son-in-law's cottage after sitting in my garage for the winter. It doesn't fill with water. I removed the water valve, connected it to the water line and connected the electrical connections to the solenoid, and placed it in a dishpan. Very little water goes thru the valve with neither outlet hoses connected. I suspect the valve, but hate to buy a valve and then find some other reason it doesn't fill with water. Is the water inlet valve (ap2802210) likely to cause this problem?
