I had the electrician check the GFI outlet, he said it was fine. I can test and reset it with no problem. The range is not plugged into the GFI outlet. It is plugged into another outlet that is on the same circuit. I plugged the range into another outlet across the room that is on a completely different circuit and "the same thing" happens. Very confusing. Thanks for your help. This is driving me crazy.

My range isn't sparking at all, however when the GFI plug that is on the same circuit, is reset all the burners will spark. I can then turn one or more burners on (the gas) and they will start. I have to then press the test button on the GFI switch to turn of the sparking. I had an electrician check the plug that the range is plugged into. It is grounded and the polarity is correct. We then plugged the range into a plug across the room that was not a GFI plug and the exact same thing happened. I thnk I need a new sparking module. Does that sound correct?

This SGM464EM needs a new spark module. I found 2 modules on your website that look like they might work: Part # 86526 and # 86527. However, when I query your online Compatibility Tool, it says neither part is compatible with the SGM464EM. What is the correct part #? Thanks.

Latest Questions

My Dacor metal cooktop is mounted on granite and unlike the video, we can't access from the back. The burners won't ignite nor spark. Suspect due to a bad spark module. Can you confirm that part #86526 is the right part or should it be caused by the bad ignitor, part #76482-001. if it is mountedon top of granite, how do we open the back to get to the module?

I would like to have directions and a diagram for wiring this before I order the part. Can I get them please? I have a 4 burner dacor gas cooktop that I must use a lighter to ignite the burners, all of the burners, so is the ignition spark what I need? Your representative has given me part #AP3160652.
