Appliance: General Electric Refrigerator GSS23QGTABB
My Repair & Advice
Watched the video and felt pretty confident I knew what to do. So of the plugs in the back were hard to release due to stiff clips holding them in place. When I got down to the fan housing, there were more wires connecting it to the evaporator coils than what the video showed. I got nervous because I couldn't see what wires were keeping the housing connected. I had to use my phone to take pictures behind the housing so I could see what was hanging it up. Turned out that my fridge was one that had the thermister on it (turns the defroster on) and I wasn't expecting that. The thermister was clipped to the coil and I had to unhook it. There was also a ground wire attached from the fan bracket to the coil I wasn't expecting. I had to loosen it. Once I had the housing out, the rest went just like the video showed. Everything back together and it works great now.
