Lound grinding noise when the tub spun, obviously a bad bearing.

Appliance: LG Washer WM2277HW
My Repair & Advice
I discovered that the inner tub seal had failed and leaked causing the front bearing to fail. I replaced both bearings (front and rear) and the tub seal.
I also found that the inner tub support spider shaft was scored so I replaced it and also the outer tub seal.
I probably couldn't have accomplished the repair without the assistance of the terrific video of how to replace the bearings provided by AppliancePartsPros. All the parts were shipped on the same day I ordered them and received in two days.
The parts cost approximately $200 and I estimate I saved about $500 in labor cost by doing this repair myself.
This is most difficult repair job that can be done on the washer but I believe it could be accomplished by anyone with basic tools as long as they use the video.
