My Repair & Advice
I reviewed the belt replacement repair video on AppliancePartsPros.com. I ordered the replacement parts and installed them per the video. The only problem I had was that the video showed the repair man's hands placing the belt on the idler pulley. In the field this is a blind activity and the dryer drum is in the way of the hands view shown on the video. You have to reach between the dryer drum and the dryer drum drive motor with both hands in order to place the belt exactly right on the drive pulley and the Idler pulley with the grooves facing the drive pulley and the belt grooves in direct contact with the dryer drum. This is a blind feel process and it's hard to do. I also had to use a small can to maintain tension on the idler pulley while placing the belt in position.
The squeak was coming from the interface between the Idler pulley and it's shaft. I cleaned and polished this interface and used a small amount of expensive grease on the shaft. I reassembled the idler pulley and the squeak went away.
