Appliance: Whirlpool Washer LXR6432JQ1
My Repair & Advice
I fixed it by replacing the lid switch assembly. Afer reading alot of the post on this website, I narrowed it down to the lid switch assembly being faulty. As others suggested, the machine was getting power, the motor was spinning the middle part, but when it came time to drain, it would not spin or drain. I ordered the part. To my amazement, the part arrived like super quick. I watched the video on this site about the disassembly and replacement of the lid switch. It was just like the video. Very easy to follow and it was actually pretty easy to do. Thanks you guys and gals for showing me the way. I'm happy that "I" was able to replace it myself and not make a service call that would have cost me alot more. I know now that if I ever run into any future problems with any of my appliances... I will come here first. The only suggestion I have when doing this replacement is take the washer out into the garage or someplace with alot of room, take off the hot, cold, and drain hoses. You don't really need to, but made taking off the body easier in my situation. Just get ready to catch the remaining water in the hoses. Other than that... I'm certainly a happy camper!!!!
