The upper agitator didn't work

My Repair & Advice
My husband insisted on buying a new washer, but I was raised to take things apart to see if they're salvageable, so I put it in the garage. AFTER I took the back off the washer, I decided to look online and see if anyone had input on the problem. I found this site and, lo and behold, there it was - along with a video showing exactly what to do. I ordered the part in the evening and the morning of the second day it was at my door. For less than $15 and about 10 minutes, it's fixed and I now have a washer to use in our vacation home. Something to point out - and I wouldn't have known it if someone else hadn't mentioned it here - the agitator doesn't seem to be two parts when you remove it once it's been on the washer for a while and it doesn't separate easily. I took the advice offered and soaked it in hot water for about an hour, then with my husband, pulled it apart. After that, it's just too easy to imagine. I'm still kicking myself for caving in and buying a new washer. But it won't go to waste!
I am very glad I found this site and have been telling everyone who will listen. Thank you!!
