E 43 control board needs to be replaced

Dennis W. • Easley, SC • June 12, 2014
My Repair & Advice

If you get E-43 on your Frigidaire front load washer check the door lock assembly first. Use an ohm meter and check for proper resistance. The lock was locking and holding the door shut but was not apparently holding strongly enough to let it go into high speed spin. It would run through all cycles except high speed spin. I replaced the control board because that is what the code is for. This didn't fix it. I replaced the pressure switch. This didn't fix it. I thought I got a faulty control board so I returned it and got another one that didn't fix it. Finally someone told me to check the door lock assembly and finally we had success. Now my washer is running like it is new again.
