My Repair & Advice
Switched the range breaker in the main panel box to off. Removed the element by removing two screws with 1/4" head. One of the wires hooked to it had some tension on it, so when I popped it off, it sprung back into and behind the insulation. Slid the range out and removed the access cover by removing 4 more screws with 1/4" heads. That actually made it easier than trying to do it without removing the cover. When the new element was installed, the connectors protruded well past the insulation and the wires were a snap to reconnect. The whole process took maybe 5 minutes.
