My Repair & Advice
After watching several youtube videos it seemed that the gas valve coil was the issue. Even though it tested good, I had a feeling that this part may be one that doesn't fail completely at once. So I took a chance and replaced the valve coils and it worked. Very easy to replace, just take the time to remove the barrel to make access very easy. My dryer is a basic whirlpool aboout 14 years old. I would also suggest cleaning the front and back from dust and lint, especially the bottom vent where exhaust initailly leaves the dryer.
