HELPING DO-IT YOURSELFERS SINCE 1999

Was not cooling properly

Herbert B. • Old Hickory, TN • June 28, 2014
Appliance: Model GENERAL ELECTRIC MODEL GSH25JFTA CC My Repair & Advice

Opened up the freezer took out everything and put it coolers. Then I took out the two screws and the ground wire and pulled the back off, then I took a hair dryer and defrosted the coils, next I took the two screws out of the defroster and pulled it out and took the two wires off the ends and put the new one in. Just reversed the process. It was a very easy fix, about 20 minutes total. Now it's working fine. I ordered the part late on Friday and it was delivered on Saturday.
