HELPING DO-IT YOURSELFERS SINCE 1999

All 3 drawer bearing fittings had broken off the bottom of this shelf frame

My Repair & Advice

Although the same part number, the new shelf bearing fittings were larger by 50-60%. The original bearings were transferred to the new shelf using a common Phillips screwdriver, as was the steel stiffening bar. The front drawer covers require a bit more attention and care to equally flex, but not break their hinge arms for transfer to the new shelf frame. I used a blunt kitchen knife and hand pressure for this transfer.
