GE Refrigerator CSX24XJE: The icemaker in our Hotpoint refrigerator was leaking water into the ice bin and out the ice dispenser. How to replace Electromechanical Icemaker Kit.

John M. • Bloomfield, KY • March 23, 2014
Appliance: General Electric Refrigerator CSX24XJE My Repair & Advice

The water leak was in the icemaker body itself, which is apparently not that unusual in the older, first design icemakers. The only permanent fix for this is replacement of the entire icemaker. The replacement icemaker obtained from AppliancePartsPros installed easily and worked properly from the start, and, of course, there were no more leaks. The new icemaker looks a bit different, but was equipped with all the necessary attachment points and accessories required to replace the older design; no modifications were necessary. This is an easy installation; less than ten minutes required.
