Leaking water from the pump anytime there was water in the washer tub

Alex B. • Stamford, CT • June 30, 2014
My Repair & Advice

My wife found soapy water on the floor of the laundry room. I removed the front access cover on the washer and found water in the bottom of the washer and seeping our the drain holes. Running a rinse and spin cycle showed water leaking out of the pump all the time there was water in the tub. I ordered this pump and after watching a youtube video of someone else doing it had no trouble installing it. Problem fixed. You do need a torx head screw driver T20 or T25 to remove the pump from the motor.
