My Repair & Advice

I first shut off the gas and AC to the range. Then I removed the doors by sliding them upward to release the hinges to make it easier to access everything. I then removed the bottom cover using a screwdriver and taking out the two screws. Then I removed the V shaped heat disperser by removing the two thumb screws that hold it in. Then I removed another bottom panel with several screws holding it in to access the faulty igniter for removal. The two more screws to remove the igniter and gas delivery tube so it was easier to take the igniter off of the tube for replacement. I quick tip. Use minimal amounts of liquid wrench to loosen the screws of this assembly. The parts have been heated over and over again and can become dry and hard to remove. Wipe away excess oil. Lastly I removed the faulty igniter and replaced it with the new one. Fished the connector of the new part through the back of the stove after attaching the new part to the gas supply tube assembly. Lastly I reassembled the above in reverse order. Turned the gas and power back on to the unit. Slid it back in place and tested the oven. It worked like a charm!
