HELPING DO-IT YOURSELFERS SINCE 1999

Snap ring holding two components of the original spray arm assembly together wore out and the unit came apart

My Repair & Advice

I ordered a replacement assembly that included the receiver, the spray arm and the connector. I used the exact dishwasher model number to order the replacement parts. Unfortunately, the screw-on female receiver on the replacement unit was a milometer too small and wouldn't screw onto the threaded male hose linkage poking through the top of the dishwasher. I resorted to connecting the old female receiver to the new sprayer blade, which had the snap-connector built in on the replacement assembly. Then I was able to screw the spray arm assembly onto the mounting end of the filler hose linkage. The process should have been a 30 second job and I should have benefited from being able to use all of the new parts I paid for.
