My washer started leaking water on the floor near the end of the cycle

Mike S. • Orem, UT • June 12, 2014
Appliance: Model LG WM2277HW My Repair & Advice

The hose that routes water from the tub to the drain pump had a small hole caused by a spikey metal starfish charm that had lodged in the hose at some point. I was able to find the leak by taking the front off the washer as shown in a YouTube video and find the leak visually. The part only took a few min to remove and replace. I'm sure this under $10 part would have cost more than $100 to have a repair service some and install.
