Washing machine water pump leak

Appliance: Model LSL9244EQO My Repair & Advice

This was my first time getting into our Whirlpool Washing Machine. We had a water leak. I suspected a bad hose. But I had to remove the machine housing to know for certain. I watched an APP repair video for the hose replacement. Turn out to be really easy to remove. Appliance Part Pros also provide a list of parts that fail most often. Hoses were not in the top five. Sure enough, I found the hoses to be dry. But the pump was wet. And the pump was number 1 or 2 on the most likely to fail list. So I ordered the pump and it delivered a day early. Last, I again watched the APP video for water pump replacement. It was an easy procedure. And replacing the pump fixed the problem. My wife was quite appreciative. She says her man can fix anything. Thanks Appliance Part Pros!
