The nozzle on the roof of the dishwasher has fallen off. Is this part essential and what does it do? The machine appears to operate OK without it so far.
I can't snap it back on. How does it attach normally? Hate to pay my local guy $89 for a service call to replace a $7 part!
Answer Hello Jeanne,
The upper spray nozzle does spread the water spray around at the upper part of the dishwasher. The most important part it plays is keeping the water pressure up for the other spray arms. With the upper nozzle off. the pressure is allowed to be released and the other spray arms do not have to pressure needed to spin properly or spray properly. This will definately affect the wash result. If there is a model number, we can verify the part number for youe unit and give assistance if needed to get the part installed so the unit can operate as designed.
The upper rack spray shoots out water but doesn't turn. Nothing is touching it and can spin freely with hand. Dishes don't come clean on upper rack. Looking to see if there is a solution on getting the rack to spin.
Answer Hello Toby. Check and see if the water level is low inside the dishwasher. If so, it can cause the spray arm not to receive enough pressure to rotate and clean. If the water level is low inside the unit, you will need to replace the water valve 154637401 in the unit.
where does this part go? I got a new spray arm but it does not fit on part 10. Do I need new part 10? Or this nozzle?
Answer Hi Miggie. You may have gotten the incorrect part. Instead of # 61 154606801 top wash nozzle, do you need Lower spray arm support part # 62 154294101 ? So the lower wash arm part # 24 154313601 can snap connect onto it ? Part # 24a is the middle wash arm. Please let us know if we can assist. you in the near future. Thank You.--
