My Repair & Advice
Removal of 4 screws gave complete access to both parts. Removed 3 screws on the housing and unscrewed the auger nut. The washer and clip had already broken off of the auger nut. Reinstalled all in reverse order without any problem. I originally ordered from Sears on the 6th only to have them show up as "Backordered" the next morning. I then ordered from AppliancePartsPros.com. on the 7th. They packed and shipped that day. Tried to cancel Sears before ordering from here. Parts from AppliancePartsPros arrived at my home on the 9th and were installed without any problem on the 10th. As of today, the 12th, the Sears parts which suddenly shipped within 2 hours AFTER I cancelled, are still in transit and are supposed to be delivered tomorrow, the 13th. I will never use Sears again. Total order was also $2 less.
