I need some specifics about how to install this thing.
Answer Hello. You will need to remove the inner door liner and then remove the cover off the old control board. Make sure the power is disconnected before doing this. Then remove the wires and the old baord from the unit. Install the new board 154815601 in reverse order.
Had a power surge and now will not start.
Answer Hello Ran. You will need to test and see if there is power coming to the control board. If so, and nothing works on the unit, you will need to replace the board 154815601 in the unit. If the lights work, but the unit won't start, you will need to test the door switches and see if they are good. If so, replace the control panel 154791803. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
Unit displays error code Er/Uo. Is that the control board?
Answer Hello Robert,
This is going to be caused by a bad door vent assembly 154861101. As a matter of fact, many times if you disassemble the vent assembly you can clean off the soap deposits/mineral deposits and make sure the little spring is attached and it will clear the code for a while. Replacing the vent fan assembly will only clear the code as long as cleaning the old one, so if the spring isn't broken, I don't recommend replacing it.
